Trigger Point Dry Needling

Dry Needling

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy

Dry Needling utilizes a solid, filiform needle to deactivate hyperirritable myofascial trigger points within muscles to optimize your mobility. Furthermore, dry needling within a comprehensive physical therapy program has been shown to be beneficial for chronic or persistent pain states to facilitate an improved return to function.

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a hands-on approach to physical therapy that involves using various techniques to treat musculoskeletal conditions. These techniques can include massage, manipulation, and mobilization of joints and soft tissues. Manual therapy is often used in conjunction with other physical therapy modalities, such as exercise and education, to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Laser Therapy

Manual Therapy

Class IV laser therapy utilizes high-powered lasers to deliver concentrated beams of light deep into tissues. This light energy interacts with cells, stimulating them to produce more energy (ATP) which in turn:

  • Reduces inflammation
  • Alleviates pain
  • Promotes faster healing
  • Improves blood circulation
  • Enhances tissue regeneration

Blood Flow Restriction Training

A medical grade cuff is placed around a limb to maintain arterial flow while limiting venous return. This creates a metabolic stress to the muscle, opposed to the more traditional mechanical stress, that triggers an anabolic cascade  increasing Growth Hormone (GH), Insulin Growth Factor-1 (IGHF-1), and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF).   With lower muscle strain, we are able to active large Type II fast twitch muscle fibers. BFR is appropriate in both post-surgical and conservative care to accelerate your physical therapy.

Headache and Migraine Therapy

Headache Management

Physical therapy for the management of headaches has been proven to decrease the intensity, frequency, and duration of headaches while improving one’s quality of life. Key components of our headache management program include orthopaedic manipulative physical therapy, trigger point dry needling, therapeutic exercise, and patient education.

Sports Medicine
